Mad River Path: Kingsbury Bridge Greenway

Mad River Path: Kingsbury Bridge Greenway
Warren Riverside Park

This 1.3 mile trail connects the Warren Riverside Park to the Sugarbush snowmaking pond on the Mad River. From the park, walk north along Rt. 100 for a short distance crossing the Clay Brook to the Golden Lion Riverside Inn. North of the Inn, the path is on an ancient alignment of Rt. 100, passing an historic former river crossing and continuing to the iron truss bridge on Rt. 100 that crosses the Mad River -- known locally as the Kingsbury Bridge. The path crosses Rt. 100 at the pond access road and continues along this dirt road for half a mile before reaching the trail behind the pond. For a further walk, circumnavigate the pond, keeping an eye out for the resident beaver.

The Kingsbury Bridge Greenway is one of the Mad River Path trails which are managed and maintained by the Mad River Path Association.

From Waitsfield, go south on Rt. 100 and turn left just beyond the Golden Lion Riverside Inn.
