Perched atop a rock ridge, with views of Granville Gulf, a pine grove and the Mad River, The Overlook’s private and secluded location is the scene for a romantic escape, or excellent for a small group of friends or a family. Accommodating 6-8 people, The Overlook property includes a one-bedroom main house and a studio-style cottage that may be rented together, or separately, located 1.7 miles from the Sugarbush Access Road, in the Mad River Valley of the Green Mountain in Vermont. Renters have access to the adjacent 42-acre riverside property. Available for nightly, weekly, monthly and seasonal rentals, the house is equipped with a full kitchen; master bedroom with king-sized bed; master bathroom with soaking tub, living room with fireplace (queen sized pullout), dressing area, washer/dryer, dining area, second full bath and dishwasher. The cottage is studio-styled with king-sized bed; sitting area (queen-sized pullout); small kitchen area; bath with shower; screened-in porch. The house accommodates 2-4 people. Cottage accommodates 2-4 as well. (A “Weekends Only” leasing option also available during ski season.) A 2-night minimum is preferred. Dogs are welcome at a nightly fee. Cross-country skiing on property in winter. Excellent swimming and sunning on private, sandy beaches in summer. Excellent fishing in season. Beautiful walking paths along the Mad River.
