Northern Reliability was founded in the winter of 2007 by former employees of Northern Power Systems, a company with more than thirty years of experience building ultra-reliable integrated power systems for the world’s most remote environments. In 2007, Northern Power made the decision to shift its business exclusively into large-scale wind turbine manufacturing, leaving its remote power customers without a source for new products and servicing. Northern Reliability was formed to fill this void, providing a seamless transition for customers seeking Northern Power’s—and now Northern Reliability’s—best-in-class remote power systems and engineering services
