2012 Event Grant Application for Mad River Valley
The Chamber’s Events and Marketing Association is planning its budget for the 2013 fiscal year that begins in September. Through its Mad River Valley Marketing & Events Fund, 80 percent of that fund’s income budget is allocated for special event support. Event organizers seeking monetary sponsorship are invited to complete an application available through the Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Applications are judged on 6 main criteria including ability to generate overnight visitors, generating overall Valley business, Public Relations value, Community Spirit, long term commitment of the organizer, and long term vision and potential for event growth. Applicants should be prepared to supply a business plan for the event addressing financial, advertising, promotional items. Contact the Chamber office at 496-3409 with questions. Deadline for submissions is April 16 for events to be held September 1, 2012 through August 31, 2013.
