3 Local Specialty Food Purveyors Win National Awards

Mad River Distillers Revolution Rye grabbed top honors in the Spirits category.

Three MRV purveyors; Babette’s TableMad River Distillers, and Von Trapp Farmstead each  won prestigious Good Food Awards. With over 2,000 entries each year, the competition is fierce. In each category, three food crafters from each region receive the honor each year.

Babette’s Table produces old-world style charcuterie, Von Trapp Farmstead makes their famous cheeses while Mad River Distillers has won numerous awards for their craft spirits. Congratulations to our local makers who are working to transform the American food system. All three of the winners products are available at the Mad River Taste Place and other fine local outlets.

Babette’s Finocchiona fennel spiced, aged salami was the winner in the chacouterie category.
