MRV Community Forum: A Conversation with the Ski Industry

The Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce presents a new community conversation series!

A groundswell of positive energy is spreading across the MRV!  In these community forum style events, local leaders will address the current environment of their industry and how it relates to the MRV’s progress toward sustainable economic vitality.  The goal of this new series is to inform and enlighten, share progress and optimism, and invigorate discussions around economic vitality in the Mad River Valley.

The First Event is a Panel Discussion: “A Conversation with the Ski Industry”

The ski industry has changed dramatically over the last half-decade, and continues to evolve into a more corporate culture.  The current trend toward consolidation could have major impacts on the Mad River Valley’s independent ski areas, businesses, and community.

The discussion will be moderated by Jasmine Bigelow, Executive Director, Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The event is free and open to all community members in the Mad River Valley and Vermont, including businesses, full-time and part-time residents, political leaders and candidates, and members of the media. Mad River Valley Television (MRVTV) will live stream the event on the Mad River Valley Facebook page, for those who cannot attend in person.
