Congratulations, Joan!

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us at Mad River Glen on January 15th!  Thank you to Mad River Glen for hosting our special mingle party!  Our guest of honor was Joan Gorman, longtime owner (nearly 40 years!) of the Millbrook Inn.  Joan has been a 4-decade supporter of the Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce, and a beloved member of the Mad River Valley community.

As we came to find out from the many, many stories shared that evening — while Joan day-lighted as an innkeeper and restauranteur, she moon-lighted as a very good advice giver.  She was a regularly called-upon, and trusted friend by her neighbors in the lodging and business community.

Joan has passed her innkeeping torch along to Tim and Rick Swanson, and their re-branded B&B, The Swanson Inn.  Check out those Sunday pies!  What’s Joan up to?  She’s living in Burlington, but you’ll likely still run into her on the slopes or at the eateries in the Valley!
