Amphibian Ecology and Road Rescue Training

March 24 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Join our team of amphibian “crossing guards” this spring!

Salamanders and frogs migrate by the thousands from forests to wetlands each spring, often crossing roads at great peril. On the rainiest nights, these seldom-seen amphibians radiate charisma, inspiration, and moxie.

At this year’s virtual training event hosted by MRV Libraries and Friends of Mad River, North Branch Nature Center’s biologist Pete Kerby-Miller will share local amphibian ecology and tips for participating in the Amphibian Road Crossing (ARC) community science project.

Register below to volunteer and get notified when we host a pop-up monitoring event this Spring. All three MRV Libraries also have free ARC kits to loan with all of the supplies you will need to help our amphibian friends.
