Base Camp at Mt. Ellen

Thank you for a great season of uphill fun.
Start your Saturday night adventure at Mt. Ellen Base Camp. Bring your friends and family out for fresh stone cooked pizza, warm drinks, friendly cornhole, and a warming bonfire. There is no better place to experience the other side of the mountain than at Mt. Ellen Base Camp. Runs every Saturday through March 19, 2016, excluding March 5, 2016.

Skinning and snowshoeing provides a satisfying new perspective to the mountain.The adventurous can head out and up to enjoy a moonlit skin or snowshoe. Those more inclined to sip a hot chocolate by the fire can enjoy good vibes and good company. Base Camp at Mt. Ellen is an evening retreat from the norm. Wherever your adventure takes you, we’ll be at Base Camp, stoking the fire.
Unguided Hiking and Skinning
*Uphill travel passes required – free of charge. Registration available at Guest Services at Lincoln Peak and Mt. Ellen.
From 5:00 – 10:00 PM, hiking and skinning is permitted at Mt. Ellen on the following trails:
Easy Does It – Straight Shot – Cruiser – Lower Rim Run – Rim Run

Head up Mt. Ellen on designated up-hill travel routes and return to Base Camp to sit around the fire and recount your sweet turns. Grab a slice of pizza and toss some cornhole to conclude a long day of skiing and riding.
Guided Skinning and Snowshoeing
On Select Base Camp Nights Sugarbush is offering Guided Moonlit Skin and Snowshoe tours. This is a great opportunity to discover skinning, or to connect with nature on a snowshoe hike. Check the events calendar for upcoming tours.
