Beginner Rug Hooking Workshop

The Warren Public Library is pleased to host instructor Sandra Grant for a beginner rug hooking workshop. Sandra will teach you the basics of pulling a loop of wool or yarn up through rug warp backing.
We provide a hook and small kit with cut wool and a geometric design. This will be a simple starter design to get you familiar with the process. You may borrow our frames or bring your own wooden embroidery hoop. If you have them, please bring embroidery scissors and a container or small basket to hold your wool.
Sandra is a board member of the Green Mountain Rug Hooking Guild. She designs and creates hooked birds from hand dyed wools and yarns.
