The filmed version of the Listen Up Musical is coming to the Mad River Valley on Friday evening, March 25th , 7 p.m. at the Valley Players Theater on Main Street in Waitsfield. Sponsored by the Mad River Valley Libraries, the Listen Up musical was inspired, created, and performed by Vermont teens in 2021 across the state. It was produced by Bess O’Brien of Kingdom County Productions.

This musical goes to the heart of current youth issues, including mental health, resilience, racial justice, sexual identity, friendship, love, family, community, social justice and climate change. The messages the actors share through song and storytelling are outstanding. Some of the musical’s actors will be available to talk with participants following the film.
