Glass Pumpkin Making: You can do it too!
September 22 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm$35.00
It’s true. You CAN create your own glass pumpkin.
The thrill of hot glass, the discovery of its capabilities, and the beauty of choosing your own color combination is what it’s all about. And of course, the fact you can pick up the pumpkin/s YOU made just a day later (after the glass cools in the kiln) adds to the fun … and suspense.
Love the series, Blown Away? This is your chance to put your own creativity to work and make your own piece of glass art.
Join experienced glass blower, teacher and artist, Spencer Kirk-Jackson as Salt & Sand Studio’s Seasonal events kick off again this month.
Great fun for individuals, friends and families.
Just 15 minutes and you’ve selected your gourd and stem colors (go traditional, have some fun with it, reflect your personality!), worked with our glass artists to create your pumpkin and have it settled for a night’s rest in the “pumpkin patch” oven. You’ll work in a lovingly restored 1800s barn, now our glass blowing school.
Friendly for ages 5 (with parent) and above … and know we’ve had octegnarians working in the glass blowing school too!
Registration strongly recommended as spots are filling fast. $35 each.Want to make more than 1 pumpkin or have more than 1 person in your party? Register for a spot per pumpkin/person.
This event is aka Barns & Bridges Glasstastic Celebration … so in addition to making your own glass pumpkin, enjoy:
- Food and drink
- Fun music
- Freshness of an outdoors setting
- Fabulous eye candy of watching hot glass being shaped
- Friendly celebration of Salt & Sand’s 1st anniversary!
ALL for FREE – our gift to you, our community.
With gratitude for you, Mad River Taste Place, Three Mountain Cafe, Turtle Creek Builders and Valley Arts.
