January 8, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, repeating until February 29, 2020
Two artists sharing a passion of providing a glimpse of the majestic and stately natural world and the rural tranquility of old farms combine their work in this unique exhibition. Working in diabolically different mediums of wood and paper, their work is joined by the common thread of russet earth tones.
Barb Godwin is a fine artist working with pyrography – the art of applying burn marks on wood with a heated object. Godwin applies her designs to a smooth wood surface and engraves the image with a special heated “pen” utilizing the grain of the wood and various degrees of heat to develop subtle values and tones.
Roarke Sharlow is a fine art photographer known for digitally manipulating his images. Starting with a colored image, he first removes the color and then applies a sepia toning resulting in a subtle russet timbre with the depth of rich light and dark values. OPEN – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
Artists Reception Sunday – February 23, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
