April 8: Agriculture as a Mechanism for Social Regeneration
Wild Roots Farm Vermont is a 10-acre operation dedicated to farmstead education, bio-diversity and community engagement. By considering our relation to the landscape, our intentions and available natural resources, we continue to develop ecological food systems strongly influenced by agroforestry practices and climate resilience.
Since 2015 we have worked closely with college students, K-12, and military veterans on the farm through service learning projects, internships, workshops, and communal events. Throughout this time our work has been rooted in community building through food systems education pertaining to soil quality and eventually the meal that we share after engaging with the landscape.
