Thanksgiving Food Drive
November 9 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Bourne’s Energy, in conjunction with the Village Grocery, The Mad River Food Hub, Complexions, Mad River Property Management, W. Phillips Company, Mad River Valley Real Estate, High Country Hair Design and other local businesses, will be hosting a turkey/food drive to benefit the Mad River Valley Interfaith Council. Complexions will also be hosting a mitten/hat tree to help support families in need.
The event will take place at the Fuller House in Waitsfield- 4477 Main Street, Waitsfield from 10am to 1pm.
For the past several years, The Interfaith Council has helped between 50-75 families in need on Thanksgiving, allowing them to celebrate a full meal with their families, with no cost to them. The generosity of this community has been overwhelming, and we are asking you to donate again this year!
We encourage local businesses to get involved by hosting food drives and dropping the donations off to the Fuller House on 11/9.
There are 2 ways you can help:
- Donate food (see below for the list and locations) or send checks we will use to buy food
- Volunteer to help; sign up on-line at:
(in order to balance the meals, please buy the sizes requested below or as close to them as possible)
- Apples (one bag)

If you prefer to donate money, we can use that, too, to buy any gap items. Please make out a check to the “Mad River Valley Interfaith Council” and drop off at the donation site on 11/9 or mail to Mad River Interfaith Council at PO Box 342, Waitsfield, VT 05673.
Any surplus items will be used to fill up our local food pantry shelves, so give all you can.
Whether you are an individual, family or business, thank you in advance for helping out neighbors once again this year.
