Federal Employees: Ski the Valley for FREE
Are you a Federal employee who is currently furloughed or working without pay during the government shutdown?
Our Mad River Valley mountains — Mad River Glen and Sugarbush — invite you to ski for free, as a small token of our support.
Hopefully a day on the slopes of General Stark Mountain will help lift the spirits of our fellow citizens. We also hope that this will be a short-lived promotion. – Eric Friedman, Mad River Glen
Not receiving a paycheck is a huge burden for families. We certainly hope that our representatives in Washington can reach a compromise soon and get everyone back to work. In the meantime, we wanted to offer those on furlough and their families an opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie of skiing and riding especially when conditions are so nice. – Win Smith, Sugarbush
If you are on Federal Furlough or working without pay, we understand that it is a difficult time for you and your family from circumstances out-with your control. We’d like to help a bit if you can fit in a skiing break. – Susan & Peter MacLaren, West Hill House B&B
