Holiday Taste of The Valley: Recipes

Did you participate in Country Christmas’ Taste of the Valley on December 8th?  Find a favorite sweet treat?  Want to give a recipe (or two or three) a try?

Here are the delicious confections provided by teams of young Mad River Valley bakers! Click the links for the recipes.

 

ABOUT TASTE OF THE VALLEY:

Country Christmas had a new event for everyone to participate in this year. Teams of young cooks and bakers sampled their foods and treats at local shops from 12 -2 pm on Saturday 12/8.

There were 7 teams competing. In order to vote for your favorite “taste” you needed to sample from at least 5 of the tables (2 from the Bridge Street area and 3 from the Mad River Green Shops). Each station had voting papers available and stamps to indicate that you’d sampled the “taste”. Votes were dropped off at Whippletree Designs (where the People’s Choice Trophy was on display) till 5 pm.

Ashley Woods and Mary Laulis judged all tastes, so we could recognize what was done well by each team and those results were shared in the Valley Reporter’s 12/13 issue. Click here to read the story.
