Kitchen-ette

Kichen-ette is the brainchild of Adam Longorth and Lorien Wroten.

Chef Adam Longworth and partner, Lorien Wroten present Kitchen-ette offering prepared foods, meal kits, artisan pastas, custom catered events, specialty dinners and more. The new venture is located in Irasville Common in Waitsfield.

Kitchen-ette is a small commercial catering kitchen and retail space located in the heart of the Mad River Valley.  Expect big flavors from this little kitchen .  Projected opening early 2022.

Adam Longworth was born and raised in Northfield Vermont. He began working in the kitchen at an early age at his father’s local establishment. Inspired, Longworth enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America. After graduating in 2001 he moved to London, England, working under Chef David Nichols at the Mandarin Oriental. His hard work and dedication in the kitchen quickly brought him the title of Chef de Partie.

Longworth soon returned to the US, where he worked briefly under Tom Collichio at Gramercy Tavern, before joining Alfred Portale in Philadelphia to open Striped Bass. In 2004 he returned to New York City as Sous Chef at Gotham Bar and Grill, becoming Chef de Cuisine in 2007. He left Gotham for a short time in 2009, moving to Washington D.C. to participate in the rebranding of restaurant 701. His inventive work as Executive Chef quickly brought accolades, earning 701 its first mention in the Washingtonian top 100 and 2 ½ star review. Longworth returned to Gotham as Chef de Cuisine in 2011, before returning to Vermont in late 2011 to purchase The Common Man with his partner Lorien Wroten, where he worked as the Executive Chef.

Longworth has studied cuisine and technique in Alaska, China, Japan, Singapore, and Europe which he incorporates into his creative when developing dishes.
