Long Trail – Mount Ellen via Jerusalem Trail

Challenging, 8.4 miles out and back, elevation gain 2500’

Views of Stark Mt., Camel’s Hump, Mt. Mansfield and Lake Champlain are part of this peak’s spectacular scenery. The Jerusalem Trail climbs steadily to the intersection of the Long Trail. At the Long Trail, turn right and head south toward Mt. Ellen. Along the way, traverse open ski slopes with expansive views and continue to the spruce-clad summit of Vermont’s third highest peak. Trail Access: Park to the side of Jim Dwire Road, near the trailhead. Jim Dwire Road is off of the Jerusalem Rd and Rte 17.
