Mad River Distillers

Now an “awarding winning” distillery!  The Maple Aged Rum won two gold medals in recent competitions and the Corn Whisky won a silver and bronze. 

The Mad River Valley is nestled in the Green Mountains of Vermont. In a state known for its beauty and character, the Mad River Valley is a truly exceptional place. From the mountain peaks and gaps to the numerous swimming holes along the Mad River, late summer corn fields to early spring maple orchards, the vistas are breathtaking and sublime. The Valley is also a community of people who are resilient, resourceful, understated and caring. We started Mad River Distillers to celebrate this magical place.

Wherever possible, we have sought to use local resources and craftsmen and we distill and bottle all of our spirits here in the Valley. Regardless of their provenance, our goal is to ensure that all of our products evoke the spirit of the Mad River Valley. We have several offerings available for tasting at the distillery (call to be sure we are here), at selected events as well as in VT State Liquor Outlets.

The distillery is currently producing rum, corn whiskey, bourbon and rye and apple brandy.
