Mad River Real Estate – It’s All About The Community

At your service….

Mad River Real Estate is  certainly a premier agency here in the MRV. They are professional, knowledgeable and experienced. The team there is held in high regard with both buyers and sellers.  All great reasons to choose MRVRE when you are buying or selling a home but there are some more intangible reasons to consider.

The partners that own Mad River Real Estate are incredibly well-rounded, committed citizens of the Mad River Valley and huge supporters of our community. The company was founded in 2014 when David Dion partnered with long time agents Steve Robbins and Erik Reisner. They changed what had been called David M Dion Real Estate to Mad River Valley Real Estate to better represent the partnership.

Dave Dion doing what he does when he not working, growing coffee or murdering ducks!

All three of the principles have served our community in many ways over the years. Erik has volunteered as an EMT on the Mad River Valley Ambulance Service and currently serves on their board of directors.  Steve, a long-time resident of Moretown has served on the town’s planning commission.  David has served on a myriad of boards over the years including; The Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce, VEDA, the Mad River Valley Planning District, and Keeping Track, a Vermont based wildlife organization.  MRVRE has also been incredibly generous to our community in so many ways beyond their tremendous service.

While they are all serious about their work in the community they also have a wicked fun side too. Dave, Erik and Steve are all avid, life-long skiers and are also all proud shareholders of the Mad River Glen Cooperative.

Steve has been a passionate brewer since back before it was cool. Nice to see him rocking his MRG and Lawson’s merch!

When not skiing or working Dave can be found hunting fowl or tending to his coffee plants. Yeah, that ‘s right, coffee! After vacationing in Costa Rica for many years he liked it so much he bought himself a little slice of heaven there. Each year he seems to be growing more coffee and tallying fewer ski days. His goal is to develop an organic farmstead and eco-lodge in the Turrubares Mountains.

Erik discovered and fell in love with the Mad River Valley while on ski trips with his family. Today he and his family live in Warren and all enjoy skiing and all the other recreational opportunities the valley has to offer.  But, what really drives him is, well… driving. Erik has a very cool Volkswagen Golf hill-climb race car and is really into it.  Check out the footage of his run from the infamous Mount Washington Climb to the Clouds Hill Climb

Beyond real estate and family Erik’s real passion is rally driving. he even has a SKi It If You Can sticker on his ride!

Skiing is what brought Steve to the MRV and it enabled him to bring his son, Taejus up on the slopes of Mad River Glen where he was one of the original co-op shareholders.  Steve, a tele-skier through and through, was also a fabled “shop boy” for over 20 years in the much heralded Mad River Glen Ski Shop.  Skiing and the mountains remain a huge passion. He’s also a pretty darn good home-brewer too and is actively involved in the VT beer scene.

These guys are ”just good people”. Rest assured they are committed to our community and they aren’t going anywhere. So the next time you need a realtor consider giving Steve, Erik and Dave down at Mad River Valley Real Estate a call.
