Mad River Valley Welcomes New Marketing Coordinator

(Waitsfield) – The Mad River Valley gained a dedicated “marketeer” who will support local businesses while promoting the Valley to visitors and prospective residents.  Last week, Lisa Davis, began work at The Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce (MRVCC) in the newly created Marketing Coordinator position.

The creation of a marketing position replaces the administrative assistant position held by Robbie Chula since 2000. This new position further strengthens the MRVCC’s ability to carry out its mission and meet the needs of its members.  Lisa’s passion for the Valley plus her experience networking and managing relationships will benefit Valley businesses. She will be in charge of supporting and increasing MRVCCs network of members.

“I look forward to working with Lisa to continue strengthening the chamber, adding value and benefit not only to chamber membership itself but to the overall economic health of the Valley,” said Executive Director Susan Klein.

Lisa brings to the Mad River Valley 8 years of experience in the financial services industry and 5 years experience as a public school teacher. Most recently, Lisa promoted the Mad River Valley while serving as a Reservations Sales Agent at Sugarbush Resort.

“’This is Vermont’, I said the first time I drove down East Warren Road. The Mad River Valley epitomizes what people consider to be Vermont.  I know this because I had expectations of how it should look and act before relocating here in March 2012.”  Avid skiers, Lisa and her husband couldn’t pass up the opportunity to move to Vermont despite the fact that she was 7 months pregnant at the time. “The Valley has exceeded our expectations of a Vermont lifestyle. After living in the Mid-Atlantic, the South and the Mountain West, I recognize and can truly appreciate the unique experience the Mad River Valley offers its residents and guests. I embrace this opportunity to share it.”

Lisa lives in Waitsfield with her husband Josh, 1 year-old son Benn, and two Labrador retrievers.
