Supporting the Mad River Valley

The Mad River Valley has once again felt the brunt of severe flooding. As the remnants of Hurricane Beryl rolled through New England, the storm left significant devastation around the MRV, particularly in Fayston and Moretown.

The Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce is here to support our business community in any way we can. Please reach out if you need any assistance. While direct flood impacts on individual businesses are limited, the effect on our local economy is profound due to road closures and media attention. Our local shops, restaurants, and businesses are open, and now is the time to support them in any way we can. As an organization we are aware of the impact this event has caused to many in our community, but it is vital that we encourage a sense of normalcy and share with the world that the MRV is open for business. Access to the MRV is a critical issue with multiple road closures and detours. For the latest road closure information, please visit https://newengland511.org/.

Please note: local road closures are not reported to the state so that information is not available. Please respect all local detours.

We’d like to thank the MRV Rotary for stepping up as true people of action. The club is a valuable source of information about neighbors who need help and volunteers who might be able to assist. Please consider volunteering to help our Fayston and Moretown neighbors by filling out this form. The towns will direct people requesting help to contact the Rotary Club via email at [email protected], and they will work to match requests with volunteers.
