Vermont’s Mad River Valley to be Featured on TLC

Vermont and, in particular the Mad River Valley, are the featured destinations on an upcoming episode produced by The Learning Channel (TLC) called “Designing Wedding Spaces”, a special episode of the popular Designing Spaces series.  Shot in the Mad River Valley in February 2008, the 7.5 minutes segment starts at Waitsfield’s 1824 House Inn with hosts Doug & Kelley Lewis along with Annemarie DeFreest of the Inn at the Round Barn.  Locally, the program can be seen on Saturday 4/12 at 7am on the WE! Network and on 4/13 at 7am on The Learning Channel (TLC). One can also watch the program on WVNY (ABC affiliate seen in the Mad River Valley) on 4/14 and 4/18 at noon.

On camera, AnneMarie talks to Doug and Kelley about the wonderful choices and opportunities that await couples who choose Vermont, and in particular the Mad River Valley, for their destination wedding. While shot entirely at the 1824 House and Inn at the Round Barn, the script and photography work toward planting a seed in the minds of brides considering a destination wedding.  By introducing those brides and their families to all that Vermont and the Mad River Valley have to offer and then inviting them to visit  or calling the chamber of commerce’s toll free number. The Chamber of Commerce believes many wedding vendors will be exposed to this national audience opportunity.

This project was funded by the Mad River Valley Chamber’s Community Sponsorship participants and in part by the State of Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing. The program will air the month of April:
