The Mad River Valley is home to two world-class ski areas that offer up the most diverse ski terrain in New England. Mad River Glen and Sugarbush complement each other beautifully and create a sense of place unheard of in today’s world of skiing. Combined they offer 155 trails and a total of 7050 vertical feet.
With expansive terrain covering 2,600 vertical feet, Sugarbush brings some of the flavor of western skiing to the East and boasts one of the largest uphill capacities in the New England. The resort extends across two mountains and 111 trails between Lincoln Peak and Mt. Ellen, connected via chairlift and shuttle bus. With immense terrain variety between the two areas, there are unlimited ways to unleash your own personal potential.
Mad River Glen is a beloved institution and isn’t like any ski area you have ever been to. The area’s character, the result of a long and proud history, reflects the terrain and natural beauty. There is a special camaraderie among the skiers, with its co-op ownership, natural snow conditions, non-commercial, family-friendly atmosphere, dedicated staff, and – of course- the Single Chair, America’s favorite ski lift.
