Head Lamp/Full Moon Snowshoe Tours

Offering Head Lamp snowshoe tours. Come join us on this fun adventure and discover the unique pleasure of snowshoeing under the stars. You will gather at Clearwater Sports at 5 PM to meet your guide, get your gear and then head off for the trails. Once there we will explore the woods and fields for about an hour and a half.  Gather a private party or come join a group for this unique Vermont experience.  All equipment will be provided by Clearwater Sports. Come explore the backwoods of Vermont with an interpretive snowshoe guide. Whether you are new to snowshoes or your first time, we will guide you by headlamp or moonlight through the winter woods. When the adventure comes to an end, warm up by the fire and enjoy a hot chili meal provided by the Featherbed Inn. A great tour for all ages.

Mad River Glen Naturalist Programs

Each and every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30AM  join one of Mad River Glens Naturalists for a guided snowshoe trek tailored to your interests in the ecology and wildlife of Stark Mountain! Outings and content vary each week, depending snow conditions and participants. Learn about the hardwood forests of the Green Mountains, as well as our resident moose, bear, deer, fisher, coyote, red fox and more! All Naturalist Programs are 1.5 to 2 hours in duration and are created as easy to moderate in terms of difficulty.
