Local Covered Bridge Tour
This trek begins at the Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce office on, well, Bridge Street in historic Waitsfield Village. The scenic drive takes you on a 19 mile trip that takes in 3 bridges: The Great Eddy, the Pine Brook and Warren Village covered bridges. There is spectacular scenery along the way on the, much photographed, Waitsfield Common Road. From there, you’ll travel south down the East Warren Road with it’s sweeping views of the spine of the Green Mountains. As you meander into Warren Village, be sure to stop downtown to grab lunch, a beverage or just a snack a the “Nearly World-Famous” Warren Store. There are some cute shops and galleries to enjoy as well. Keep going south through the village and you’ll come to the sublime Warren Village Covered Bridge. Then take Route 100 North back up to your starting point.
