Easy/moderate 2.2 miles out and back, elevation gain 400’

Sunset Ledge is a favorite, family-friendly destination. As the name implies, this short hike is well known for its grand sunsets over Lake Champlain and the rugged Adirondack Mountains. If returning after sunset, don’t forget to bring along a flashlight or headlamp.

Trail Access: Take the Lincoln Gap Road off of Route 100 in Warren to the parking at the top of Lincoln Gap, then head south on the Long Trail.

Trail Manager: The Long Trail is maintained and protected by the Green Mountain Club, www.greenmountainclub.org, in this section on land owned and managed by the Green Mountain National Forest, www.fs.usda.gov/greenmountain.
