MRV Chamber Legislative Committee Seeks Input

Advocacy is an important component of the MRV Chambers purpose, and is an often overlooked benefit to membership. During each legislative session, we work in concert with the legislative team at the Vermont and Lake Champlain Chambers to track legislation and represent our members at the local, state, and federal level. We also work outside of the legislative process to influence regulation and serve as an advocate for our members when engaging with agencies and departments. We send updates to members to inform them of any potential impacts to their business and offer testimony on behalf of our members in committee.

In an effort to improve our advocacy efforts we are developing a new MRV Chamber Legislative Committee. It will be made up of business leaders who help define our work and determine our priorities. The committee willl also provide outreach to the MRV House and Senate representatives along with our local select boards. As we develop the committee we are seeking chamber members that are willing to get involved and give a more diverse perspective.   Please let us know if you are interest in joining the Legislative Committee (email: info@madrivervalley.com).
